Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or at least three years of relevant union staff experience or ISTA leadership experience.
• Interpersonal skills including oral and written communications, persuasiveness, initiative, problem analysis and resolution.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching, local and member training, and appropriate professional assistance to local affiliates and members.
• Develop viable internal and external communications programs with two-way flow of member information.
• Assist local leaders in developing and implementing an effective local lobbying and political action program.
• Support local development including member engagement, program development, and budget planning.
• Assist locals with organizing efforts to grow membership and advocate for professional issues.
