Qualifications

• Certifications and licenses as specified: MA Bus Driver Instructor, Special Driver School Bus Certificate, Class B with endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate all bus routes with the Executive Director of Education.
• Manage a staff of up to ten bus/van drivers and twenty monitors.
• Cover driver shifts as needed (morning, noon or evening).
• Coordinate field trips with Association staff.
• Maintain maintenance records for drivers and vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulations.
• Monitor and report driver issues (accidents, safety concerns, licensing).
• Handle customer complaints and investigate issues such as lateness or damages.
• Negotiate contracts with external transportation companies and seek cost efficiency.
• Manage the transportation department budget and revenue streams beyond parental payments.
