Job summary

Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Content Instructional Consultant for the Regional Professional Development Center to support the District Continuous Improvement (DCI) process and provide ongoing professional development for teachers and administrators across 84 districts. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Education, 5 years of classroom or leadership experience, and strong facilitation skills.

Travel across Missouri is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education.
• 5 years of classroom teaching or school leadership experience.
• Knowledge of research-based best practices in education.
• Knowledge of Missouri Learning Standards and MTSS.
• Ability to travel regularly within Missouri.
• Strong presentation and adult learning facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the District Continuous Improvement (DCI) process to promote capacity building for LEA practice fidelity to DCI expectations.
• Assist LEAs in development of comprehensive implementation plans and training needs.
• Provide coaching to leadership and teams on effective educational practices with impact on student outcomes.
• Assist DESE with data collection and statewide analysis and dissemination.
• Attend and participate in DESE statewide meetings/trainings and the annual DCI Summit.
