Job summary

Iowa Department of Education seeks an Education Program Consultant (Continuous Improvement) to support Northeast Iowa schools and districts, including Dubuque and counties across the region. The role focuses on strengthening special education systems and improving student outcomes through evidence-based practices.

You will lead professional learning, collaborate with educators, and design supports for inclusive instruction while advancing statewide guidance and program effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree from an accredited college or university with five years of full-time postgraduate work experience in education settings, administration, or related areas.
• Master’s degree and three academic years of PK-12 or post-secondary experience, plus teaching or administrative background.

Responsibilities

• Lead professional learning and systems improvement across Northeast Iowa.
• Provide professional learning for statewide implementation of SDI.
• Facilitate development and delivery teams to improve instructional systems.
• Provide technical assistance focused on instructional design, implementation, and outcomes.
• Support schools in moving to safe, student-centered environments.
• Use implementation science to scale practices across districts and schools.
