Job summary

Amergis is seeking an Educational Technician (Ed Tech) 2 or 3 to work in a school setting with students. The role supports implementation of behavioral intervention plans and delivers educational and behavioral services to children and adults with special needs.

Collaborating with school professionals and other behavioral specialists, you will help achieve learning and behavioral goals while adhering to state and federal requirements and maintaining professional standards.

Qualifications

• Ed Tech 2 or 3 certification is required or willingness to obtain it.
• At least 1 year relevant experience preferred.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Meets state and federal requirements.

Job description

Amergis is looking to hire Ed Tech 2 or 3 to work with students in a school setting.

The Educational Technician 2 or 3 works to implement behavioral intervention plans and facilitate educational and behavioral services with children and adults with special needs and collaborates with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Ed Tech 2 or 3 from Maine Department of Education or willingness to obtain
• One year relevant experience preferred
• Associates degree in behavioral studies or related field preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
