The work is sedentary and involves bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching or similar activities. Occasional lifting of moderately heavy items such as student desks and audio-visual machinery is also required.
Good distant vision in one eye and ability to printed material the size of typewritten characters without strain is required, glasses permitted.
The ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid, is required.
In most instance, an amputation of arm, hand or leg will not disqualify an applicant for appointment, although it may be necessary that this condition be able to be compensated with the use of satisfactory prothesis.
