Job summary

Zeeland Public Schools is seeking a Network Manager to design, implement, and support the district’s network infrastructure across facilities.

The role covers cybersecurity, disaster recovery, regulatory compliance, and vendor management, including servers, switches, routers, firewalls, Azure/AD, Veeam, AWS, and VPN systems. Candidates should have a computer science/Networking/ cybersecurity background and 5+ years of LAN/WAN experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Networking/Cybersecurity or related field and/or 5+ years’ experience in LAN/WAN analysis.
• Three to five years’ experience with LAN/WAN networking responsibilities. Managing Switches, VLANs, Firewalls, Routers, SAN management.
• Experience managing MS/AD/Azure Networks, AWS, VMWare environments, GPOs, MS Server configuration.
• Experience implementing and managing cybersecurity frameworks, endpoint protection, MFA, email security, vulnerability management, incident response.
• Knowledge of FERPA and other privacy requirements for student data.

Responsibilities

• Align network services with the district’s mission and values.
• Research network/server products and best practices to stay current with technology trends.
• Coordinate network projects for design, planning, installation, configuration, maintenance and testing.
• Ensure reliable network connectivity for classroom instruction and online platforms.
• Maintain network readiness and bandwidth for assessments and operations.
• Develop and maintain network/server administrative authorizations and documentation.
