The Norton Simon Museum offers undergraduate/graduate students or recent graduates the opportunity to work with its education team during the summer season. This 10-week, part-time paid internship is centered on the Museum’s outstanding art collection.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with educational programming
  • Planning and developing art activities for existing and future education programs
  • Designing and coordinating the Summer Community Outreach program
  • Assisting with large events including the Garden Party, An Afternoon for Teachers and An Evening in Focus
  • Developing a project related to the applicant’s area of expertise
  • Conducting collections-based research as related to departmental needs

Physical Requirements: This position requires moderate lifting, stretching, reaching, and bending. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

Schedule: Position is scheduled to work 28 hours per week, between Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
