Job summary

Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) seeks an Education Specialist (School Improvement) at the BOS Phoenix Educ Resource Center to lead data-driven professional development and technical assistance aimed at improving outcomes for Indian students.

You will work on a team, collaborating with school leaders, teachers and educators to implement School Improvement Program strategies, measure progress, and report results in GPRA-compliant formats.

Qualifications

• Degree in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position.
• Combination of education and experience may substitute for a major in education as described above.
• Specialized experience: work related to School Improvement Program strategies, GPRA reporting, policy guidance for students with disabilities, and educational improvement.

Responsibilities

• Improve outcomes for Indian students through targeted, data-driven professional development and technical assistance to school leaders, teachers and other educators.
• Guide and support School Improvement Program strategies to meet goals and objectives and report progress.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and GPRA requirements.
