Job summary

Napa Valley Unified School District seeks an Education Specialist - Moderate/Severe for the 2026-2027 school year. The teacher will implement district curriculum, employ engagement strategies, and collaborate with general education staff in a push-in model to support students with special needs.

Qualifications

Must hold a California teaching credential and CLAD/BCLAD or equivalent.
Special Education certification for Moderate/Severe or equivalent.
English Learner Authorization (ELA) or eligibility for Emergency ELA permit.
Knowledge of curriculum, instructional strategies, classroom management and communications.

Responsibilities

Teach and follow the district curriculum using engagement strategies.
Attend planned professional development and implement learned strategies.
Collaborate with general education teachers in a push-in model.
Write Behavior Support Plans and work with site leadership to support inclusion.
Engage with parents, volunteers and support staff to maintain communication.
