Aspire Public Schools is seeking an Education Specialist (Mild/Moderate) for APEX Academy in California. The role delivers special education services within an inclusive setting, collaborates with Special Education staff, and supports IEP goals and timelines to ensure equitable access to standards.

Candidates must hold a CA Special Education Teaching Credential, a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), and have 2+ years of experience with students with disabilities.

Formación

• CA Special Education Teaching Credential or equivalent is required.
• Bridge Authorizations for Mild/Moderate Credentials obtained before June 2022.
• Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience working with students with special needs in educational settings.

Responsabilidades

• Administer academic assessments and write reports for IEP meetings.
• Consult and communicate with faculty and parents regarding student progress.
• Maintain knowledge of current regulations pertaining to special education.
• Collaborate with faculty to ensure appropriate modifications and accommodations are implemented in the general education classroom.
• Assist with development and management of IEP timelines and goals.
• Input weekly IEP service tracking and monitor compliance with timelines.
