ChildRoots in Portland, OR seeks an Education Specialist to coach and manage teaching teams across infant to preschool classrooms. The role emphasizes child-led learning, development of staff, and strong family communication. It offers a pathway for former educators and current administrators.

Starting pay is $33.15/hour with merit raises, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth. Candidate must be Oregon-registered and ready to complete required trainings within 30 days

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years of experience managing staff.
• Must have 4+ years of experience teaching.
• Step 10+ in Oregon Registry Online (ORO)system.
• Currently enrolled in Oregon's Central Background Registry or start the process.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and educational support for a consistent group of children.
• Foster a safe, engaging, and child-centered learning environment.
• Design and implement developmentally appropriate activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with families, ensuring clear and supportive communication.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, deliver coaching and training, and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
• Manage a team of teaching staff and classrooms.
• Track, manage, and log team progress and development.
