The Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory in Cambridge, MA seeks an Education Specialist IS-1701-12 to promote education of staff and visitors in specialized topics. The incumbent develops academic research, exhibits, public programs, digital content and publications.

You will collaborate with department leadership to align offerings with departmental goals, supervise internship and fellowship programs, manage grant-funded budgets, and contribute to funding proposals and donor presentations.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and evaluating educational programs.
• Ability to develop educational strategies and digital learning initiatives.
• Experience overseeing internship, fellowship, or volunteer learning programs.
• Experience managing grant-funded funds or budgets.
