Responsibilities
  1. Build and maintain sustainable relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders in the education sector.
  2. Use SMART’s sales process to acquire new education customers.
  3. Expand SMART solutions in defined education customers.
  4. Develop relationships in strategic education consortiums, training centers, and DOEs.
  5. Develop and implement professional development plans that align with instructional goals.
  6. Leverage SMART's Professional Learning resources to support customer adoption, renewal, and expansion to support the customer journey.
  7. Foster a thriving community of ambassadors by identifying, recruiting, and onboarding ambassadors.
  8. Engage an online community through connecting and posting on social media.
  9. Attend local and regional trade shows, seminars, conferences, and customer events.
  10. Work with SMART's marketing and product management teams.
  11. Produce high-quality sales and professional development activity reports.
  12. Collect and analyze data to measure the impact of professional learning and make necessary improvements.
  13. Operate at very senior levels within complex customer organizations with multiple decision makers.
Purpose of the position

As an Education Solutions Consultant, you will be a vital part of our mission to improve instructional outcomes with SMART solutions. Your duties will focus on developing the end-user customer base for SMART in the South-East Pod. Some of the specific duties will include:

  1. Build and maintain sustainable relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders in the education sector.
  2. Use SMART’s sales process to acquire new education customers.
  3. Expand SMART solutions in defined education customers.
  4. Develop relationships in strategic education consortiums, training centers, and DOEs.
  5. Develop and implement professional development plans that align with instructional goals.
  6. Leverage SMART's Professional Learning resources to support customer adoption, renewal, and expansion to support the customer journey.
  7. Foster a thriving community of ambassadors by identifying, recruiting, and onboarding ambassadors.

Skills Required
  1. Outstanding interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team environment that consists of the Pod Director, Area Manager, Area Representative, and Demand Gen Manager.
  2. Strong working knowledge of SMART’s products and the ability to learn new SMART solutions as they are introduced.
  3. Ability to present in front of large groups with confidence and knowledge of both hardware and software as presentation tools.
  4. Strong education acumen.
  5. High proficiency with technology.
  6. Self-starter capable of learning new skills independently.
  7. Strong problem-solving abilities.
Education and Work Experience
  1. Degree in business, education, marketing, or a related field.
  2. Ideal experience as a former educator.
  3. At least two years of experience in education or sales in a fast-paced, technology-driven business.
  4. Proven ability to develop relationships with key decision-makers.
Supervision provided and received
  1. The position is field-based, working independently under the guidance of the Regional Solutions Manager.
  2. The Regional Manager will conduct weekly 1-1s and field travel throughout the year.
Working conditions
  1. Ability to work independently from a home office and travel up to 70%.
  2. Ability to obtain a passport and travel to Canada.
  3. Pass all district-level background checks to work effectively in the K-12 environment.
