The college or university issuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree must be accredited, and the degree program in social work must be approvedby the Council on Social Work Education. The directly related professional casework/case management experience must be related to familypreservation, family reunification, adoption, youth development, counseling, and advocacy services or a related field.
Of the noted years of experience, requires that the experience include casework/case management experience in the school system and/or ISBE funded programs; requires extensive knowledge of current education strategies, theories, and principles as evidenced by at least one year of experience working in the school system or ISBE funded systems in a role requiring the implementation of such.
