Job summary

Academy of Mathematics and Science, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing and Accounts Payable Supervisor in Arizona on a hybrid schedule.

You will oversee the procure-to-pay cycle, manage a dedicated team, and ensure timely purchasing of supplies and services for AMS campuses. The ideal candidate has strong fiscal responsibility, attention to detail, and a service-oriented approach when partnering with staff, vendors, and departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 4–5 years AP or procurement experience.
• Minimum 1–2 years leadership/supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Purchasing and Accounts Payable staff.
• Oversee full procure-to-pay cycle from PO to final payment.
• Review POs, invoices, and supporting docs for accuracy.
• Ensure three-way matching and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Manage multiple funding sources and campus budgets.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Coordinate year-end closing and 1099 reporting.
• Train staff and communicate with vendors clearly.
