Job summary

The WAY Program is seeking a Team Leader for the Mount Pleasant, MI area to guide student assistance coordination and support staff in delivering WAY’s project-based, student-centered learning. The role emphasizes collaboration across teams, adherence to program policy, and proactive engagement with educators and families.

Key duties include coordinating with the central team, attending leader meetings, monitoring deliverables, and ensuring child protection standards.

Qualifications

• Michigan Teaching Certification Preferred.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
• Broad educational experience.
• Ability to communicate with students and engage parents/guardians.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Experience with child protection issues.
• Ability to manage and work within a large team.
• Experience networking with other professional agencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist young people in removing barriers to learning by collaborating across networks.
• Communicate with WAY Program central team to ensure model, policy and practice is followed.
• Attend Team Leader meetings and training sessions as required.
• Monitor project deliverables and communications for follow-up and continuity.
• Monitor mentor reports and other requirements.
• Multi-task and support other team members as needed.
• Provide intervention with researchers when necessary.
• Ensure child protection issues are dealt with promptly.
