Job summary

Alpha School is seeking an Education Program Manager who will lead Guides, develop life skills programs, and drive student success across multiple campuses. You will coach leaders, launch new campuses, and maintain high standards while expanding Alpha’s K-12 model.

The role emphasizes data-driven decisions, accountability, and building a culture of excellence for students aged 5–14. Relocation support is available for on-site campus work.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work on-site at an Alpha campus (relocation support available).
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or a related leadership role.
• Experience leading and developing teams of five or more people, including hiring and making performance-based termination decisions.
• Demonstrated success using data to drive performance improvements.
• Experience working with children ages 5-14 in an educational, coaching, or developmental setting.
• Experience building or launching a new team, program, business, school, or initiative, with willingness to help open a new campus from zero.
• Willingness to work in a school model that rejects traditional lecture-based pedagogy.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coaching Guides to consistently deliver exceptional student experiences while maintaining Alpha's high standards.
• Leading engaging life skills workshops that develop communication, leadership, focus, and other real-world skills for K-12 students.
• Motivating students to achieve ambitious learning goals and maximize progress in their self-directed academic programs.
• Using data, observation, and coaching conversations to improve Guide performance and student outcomes.
• Helping launch and establish new Alpha campuses by building a culture centered on excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
