Under the general supervision of the Administrative Director of the Physician Scientist Education & Training (PSET), the PSET Education Program Senior Specialist is primarily responsible for providing programmatic support, developing, and implementing tailored curricula and activities to support all PSET early career faculty education and training programming and serving as the program manager for the Physician Scientist Scholars Program (PSSP). This includes all aspects of data management and reporting, including the development of REDCap surveys and utilization of other tools to capture and monitor early career faculty programmatic scholar/trainee/faculty outcomes (awards, fellowships, publications, etc.). Provides support to physician scientist early career faculty researchers in facilitating grant/contract administration. May include securing institutional approvals, monitoring for compliance, and assisting with financial and technical reporting. Identifies funding opportunities and serves as PSET liaison to Grants Management Office and Office of Faculty Affairs for physician scientist early career faculty. Works with all staff within the PSET Initiative to improve external communications and marketing (including website and social media presence), collaboration, resource utilization, and efficiency to enhance the PSET initiative and experience for the Ohio State physician scientist community. Plans and executes various events across the physician scientist initiative, including PSSP network events and College of Medicine Trainee Research Day.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred. 4 years of relevant experience required. Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
