Job summary

The General Education Regional Coordinator will lead implementation of Early Learning Collaboratives in Northeast Mississippi for the Department of Education's Office of Early Childhood.

The role manages day-to-day regional operations, supervises Early Childhood Coaches, and provides technical assistance and training to pre‑K teachers on developmentally appropriate practices and the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or Education.
  • Five years of supervisory experience including staff meetings, reporting, and travel coordination.
  • Five years of classroom experience as an educator.
  • Five years as a mentor or technical assistant.
  • Three years of independent work experience without an on-site manager.
  • Knowledge of Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) and web-based early learning data systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of Early Learning Collaboratives in Northeast Mississippi.
  • Manage day-to-day regional operations and coordinate across sites.
