Job summary

IEC is seeking an experienced Director of Education at our Sacramento campus to lead the education team, ensure quality programs, and implement strategies to meet student retention and completion goals.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, at least 3 years of combined management, teaching and education administration experience, and strong communication, budgeting, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of combined management, teaching and education administration experience.
• Proven ability to lead and develop education teams in a post-secondary environment.

Responsibilities

• Comply with federal/state laws, accreditor standards, and institutional policies.
• Supervise and coach faculty and staff; provide monthly advisements.
• Recruit, train and develop faculty and staff.
• Conduct classroom observations regularly.
• Review curricula to improve instructional quality.
• Prepare class schedules to optimize learning outcomes.
• Advise all students on progress and support at-risk students.
• Monitor retention, attendance and completion metrics.
• Manage Education department budget and resources.
