Job Description
Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania's Approved Private School is looking for an energetic and passionate PDE certified Teacher to function as the Approved Private School Lead Teacher for our special education preschool. This Lead role will provide classroom instruction, mentorship, and IEP compliance.
Teachers in our Approved Private School will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with parents and community resources, adherence to core curriculum and case management, and implementation of special education documents.
Easterseals offers the right candidate an opportunity to become part of our multi-disciplinary supportive team working with children with disabilities and their families in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of IEPs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a classroom as well as guide classroom staff. The position is based at our Philadelphia school located in West Allegheny. This is a full-time benefits eligible position working a 44-week schedule.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education required.
PDE Certification in Special Education or Mentally and/or Physically Handicapped required.
Minimum five years teaching experience preferred.
Prior experience working with children with autism and/or behavioral challenges required.
