Job summary

OSU-Cascades in Bend, Oregon invites applications for fixed-term, non-tenure-track Instructor positions to teach on a term-by-term basis for the 2026-2027 academic year. Some appointments may be renewed or transitioned to instructional roles at the Senior Associate Dean’s discretion.

Start dates include December 16 or March 16 for term appointments. The primary mission of the Education Program is to provide undergraduate and graduate education, the curriculum spans standard fields, and

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education (Elementary and Secondary), English as a Second Language, Language Arts and Reading Education, Science and Mathematics Education, or Social Studies.
• PhD or terminal degree preferred for potential renewal or instructional opportunities.
• Teaching experience at the college or university level and commitment to undergraduate education and equity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer and teach course(s) term-by-term in Education, English as a Second Language, Language Arts and Reading Education, Science and Mathematics Education, Social Studies Education.
• Advise and mentor students and participate in advising activities.
• Complete course assessments and continuously improve teaching effectiveness.
• Be available for office hours and manage record-keeping and minor administrative tasks.
• Contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment for diverse student populations.
