Job summary

The City of Fort Collins is seeking a General Interest Instructor - Education (Hourly) to design and deliver a variety of educational classes for the community, under the supervision of the Sr Recreation Coordinator of Education. This role also manages people safely in indoor and outdoor environments.

The position is fluctuating hourly with pay in the $15.00–$17.00 per hour range, based on relevant experience. CPR/First Aid/AED certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preference given to a bachelor's degree in a related field.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification required.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to follow directions provided in various formats.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate class content and demonstrate competency in teaching.
• Communicates clearly with the coordinator and community members.
• Informs supervisor of any safety concerns regarding facility, equipment, or participants.
• Inform supervisor of conditions and needed supplies.
