Job summary

Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) is seeking a Senior School Finance Advisor to analyze school finance legislation and policy, advise on funding implications, and serve as the in-house expert on Texas public school finance for TASB and its members. The role involves cross-functional support and external representation on finance issues.

Full-time preferred but a part-time schedule may be considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Extensive experience in Texas public school finance.
• Experience presenting to school boards or senior district leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze proposed and enacted legislation related to school finance, taxation, budgeting, and funding formulas.
• Advise staff on fiscal and operational implications of school finance proposals.
• Translate statutory changes into practical district guidance.
• Provide subject-matter review for finance-related communications.
