Job summary

Alabama-A is seeking an Education Specialist to support teacher education programs and clinical experiences in alignment with ALSDE and CAEP standards. You will assist in partnerships, student placement, and data reporting for accreditation.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prepare concise reports and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with communicating with districts and agencies with MOUs and partnerships.
• Assist with placement of field experiences in diverse settings.
• Assist with monitoring performance assessments in practicum courses.
• Assist with annual updates to field experience and clinical handbooks.
• Assist with data reports for state and national accreditation.
• Assist with monitoring the clinical experiences section of the website.
• Interpret ALSDE/CAEP policies and communicate changes to students and faculty.
• Collaborate with internal and external groups on program responsibilities.
• Review internship and practicum applications for compliance with guidelines.
• Assist with record audits of candidates for internship participation.
• Develop and maintain systems to monitor clinical experiences progress.
• Work with applicants to provide clinical experiences support.
• Coordinate clinical experience meetings with stakeholders.
• Assist with special projects and cross-training between placements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
