Join us as an Education & Employment Specialist, Family Preservation - Fulltime, 1st Shift at Children's Wisconsin.

Position Overview

This role involves providing education and employment services to caregivers of children enrolled in the Early Childhood Initiative (ECI) Dane County home visiting program. Responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, service planning, resource referral, resume and interview preparation, crisis management, housing support, and developing support networks. The position also entails community outreach, stakeholder collaboration, staff training, grant writing, and program development. Acts as a service leader within the organization and/or the health system.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social services or related field.
• Two years of experience working with diverse families or individuals.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, auto insurance, and ability to transport children.
• Willingness to complete in-house car seat transporter training within one month of hire and re-train biannually.
• Commitment to cultural competence and valuing diversity.
• Ability to build trusting relationships.
• Knowledge of psychosocial, economic, and cultural factors affecting healthy development and familiarity with current trends in family support.
• Ability to work with families facing safety and related issues, adhering to mandated reporting laws.
