You will manage in-house reporters and freelancers, shape the content strategy, edit articles and product pages, and serve as a spokesperson for education launches. The role demands strong leadership, SEO savvy, and comfort with media interviews.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of professional editing experience, with 5+ years leading a newsroom team.
• Expertise in higher education and K-12 content.
• Experience recruiting and managing freelance writers/editors.
• Experience developing and refining content strategy and calendars.
• Proficient in SEO best practices and using SEO tools.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee education content strategy for a consumer audience of parents and students.
• Lead in-house education reporters and editors.
• Recruit freelancers; assign articles; manage invoices.
• Coordinate with experts in student loans, law, grad programs and college admissions.
• Edit articles, slideshows, and product pages for flow, tone, and SEO.
• Manage the editorial calendar for education content; set run dates.
• Use AI tools to increase workflow efficiencies and automate tasks.
• Use Google Analytics to monitor performance and inform decisions.
• Oversee education webinar calendar and host webinars when appropriate.
