Job summary

Amego, Inc. is seeking an Education Director to lead the school’s educational program for students with significant needs. You will provide direct leadership to teachers and staff, shape curriculum and IEP development, and ensure high quality programming and a positive school culture.

You will work closely with families, districts, and clinical partners, maintain compliance with MA DESE/DEEC/DCF policies, and participate actively as a school leader and presence in daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Special Education and/or ABA required or preferred.
  • Massachusetts licensure as Severe SPED or SPED Administrator preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience with individuals with severe special needs.
  • 3+ years of supervisory/management experience in human services or education.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, supervision, mentoring, and performance support to teachers and educational staff.
  • Oversee classroom operations, staffing coverage, and appropriate student-to-staff ratios.
  • Support assessments, curriculum development, lesson planning, and student progress reporting.
  • Guide IEP development and implementation with fidelity.
  • Collaborate with residential, clinical, therapy, and nursing teams to coordinate student care.

As Education Director, you will help shape the day-to-day experience of our students and staff while ensuring high-quality educational programming, strong classroom practices, and a supportive school culture.You won’t be leading from the sidelines. You’ll be actively involved with teachers, students, families, and an interdisciplinary team committed to helping each student make meaningful progress.What You’ll DoAs Education Director, you will oversee the daily operation of the school and provide direct leadership and support to teachers and educational staff.
