Job summary

Iowa Department of Education seeks a Data Analyst 2 to join the Bureau of Performance and Analytics. You will analyze education data sets, manipulate data, and produce metrics for state and federal reporting, working closely with assessment data and accountability measures.

You will help publish reports such as the Annual Condition of Education and contribute to technical documentation and presentations for policymakers and educators.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Education, Statistics, Social Sciences or related field.
• Experience analyzing large education data sets and producing metrics.
• Ability to build data files meeting specifications and perform advanced modeling.

Responsibilities

• Analyze education data sets and produce metrics for state/federal reporting.
• Work with assessment data, publications, and accountability framework analysis.
• Run QA checks to verify data accuracy and present results to stakeholders.
• Prepare reports, develop technical documentation, and present findings.
