Job summary

Stie Yai is seeking a data analytics intern to engage with educators, validate analytics models, and build data-driven dashboards. You will explore algorithms, data platforms, and educational content, translating findings into tests to improve student outcomes.

The role involves collaborating on data infrastructure, AI workflows, and marketing analytics. Ideal candidates study Applied Mathematics, Statistics, CS, or Data Science, with some coding experience and Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• Enjoy creative problem solving with real-world, messy data.
• Strong math and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
• Curiosity about data's impact on learning and outcomes.
• Studying or studied Applied Mathematics, Statistics, CS, Data Science, or related field.
• Some coding experience and interest in AI.
• Experience with SQL, Python data tools (Pandas/NumPy) or similar.
• Excel proficiency: advanced formulas, charts, pivot tables, simulations, Solver.
• Prior internship or project in data analytics or BI is a plus.
• Familiarity with web analytics and marketing tools desirable.
• Experience visualizing data in Tableau/Power BI/Data Studio advantageous.
• Experience with SEO tools beneficial.
• Experience collaborating in remote/hybrid teams using Slack/Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Engage with educators to validate analytics models.
• Develop understanding of algorithms, technologies, platforms, and content.
• Synthesize knowledge into actionable tests for modules identifying student needs.
• Collaborate on improving education through data infrastructure and analytics.
• Work with AI tools and workflows to support data-driven decisions.
• Perform data mining and cleaning from multiple sources.
• Support AI and chatbot development projects for ConnectPrep’s programs.
• Conduct SEO and keyword research to identify growth opportunities.
• Analyze website analytics and prepare dashboards or summaries.
• Assist with data analysis for marketing campaigns and operations.
• Test, document, and iterate on new data and AI workflows.
