Job summary

Petersburg City Public Schools seeks a Data Analyst to support federal and state accountability initiatives. You will collect, manage, analyze, and report educational data, helping inform decision-making across divisions.

Responsibilities include creating dashboards in Tableau and other tools, writing queries, ensuring data integrity, and providing technical assistance to departments. A Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, data analytics, statistics, or related field.
Two years of experience or a combination of education and experience. Tableau dashboards or comparable data visualization experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Collect, compile, analyze, and report data (enrollment, grades, accountability, assessments, etc.).
Query and extract data to address requests from PIA.
Create and manage data repositories for data from multiple sources.
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or equivalents to support data-driven decisions.
Build user-friendly reports and data tools for central office departments and schools.
Develop data extraction processes and ensure data integrity.
Assist education data specialists with data requests and support the local assessment program.
Perform related duties as required.
