Job summary

The Education Coordinator at Oregon Child Development Coalition implements a developmentally and culturally appropriate education program across agency sites, aligning with Head Start Performance Standards. The role requires strong documentation, classroom observation, and staff guidance to ensure safe, engaging learning environments.

You will coordinate screenings, trainings, and collaboration with Education Supervisors and site teams, supporting teachers and families through transition

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
• Alternatively: BA/BS in any field with Oregon Registry Step 10+
• Minimum of 2 years related experience; supervisory/mentoring preferred

Responsibilities

• Observe classrooms for developmentally appropriate practices, required posted materials, safety/sanitation, and other Agency required guidelines.
• Maintain complete and accurate required records, forms, reports and documentation of classroom monitoring and observations.
• Reviews weekly planning forms and children’s files and provides appropriate feedback and guidance to ensure compliance with agency policies and guidelines.
• Coordinates development screenings, organizing schedules and preparing materials.
• Plans, reviews, assesses, and designs strategies for successful implementation of the Agency education, mental health, and disabilities plan.
• Collaborates with Education Supervisor and Content Specialists to coordinate training at local pre-service for staff and throughout the season for staff and families.
