Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The STG’s Education Engagement (EE) Coordinator is responsible for helping streamline cohesive interdepartmental communication and procedures. The coordinator will support STG’s Education & Community Engagement goal of programming being inclusive of members of communities that have historically been underserved such as Black, Indigenous, People of Color, LGBTQ+, Disabled/and or Neurodivergent, Transient, Homeless, Low income, womxn. This position earns between $24.31 - $31.50. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, LTD and STD insurances and 403b retirement savings account.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist with ECE Events including but not limited to: registration, attendance tracking, logistics, post-event wrap-up and surveys.
  • Calling prospective program participants, parents and community organizations.
  • Provide general ECE administrative support.
  • Registrar for ECE workshops and events which includes but not limited to:
  • Creating, updating and maintaining registration forms.
  • Communicating information, confirmations and answering questions regarding programs.
  • Creating reports from each event and create check-in sheet for program use.
  • Support any processing of payments or requests for payment links/reports.
  • Assist managers, guests, artists, and participants as needed.
  • Coordinate any hospitality needs including catering, hotel and transportation needs for artists and programs.
  • Support front of house and outreach needs for ECE matinee performances and programs.
  • Provide logistical support for on and off-site events, performances and programs as needed.
  • Collaborate with any technical teams onsite to ensure a smooth event.
  • Help with check-in of any participants, performers, and artists.
  • Drop off any materials to various locations as needed.
  • Ensure a series of concurrent projects with competing deadlines and pressures are delivered with high quality and on time.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration activity to leverage impact and engagement both internally and externally of assigned programs.
  • Create a comfortable and hospitable space for guests, artists, and participants.
  • Set up end meeting with Supervisor for wrap up of program including assisting with any reporting for the program.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English strongly recommended.
  • Ability to facilitate events of various sizes and goals.
  • Experience working with culturally diverse artists and community groups.
  • Position requires strong skills in organization, multitasking, creativity, and a passion for the arts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational ability.
  • Experience with Salesforce and excel a plus.
  • Knowledge in facilitating and/or teaching arts is a plus.
