Overview
Major function: Administration of Courses, Events, and Customer Service.
Assist in the growth of Trades (primary and Event Participation functions for OVCEF/OVABC). Assist in administration and implementation of training through gathering of data/forms/other as needed. Promote apprenticeship, custom craft training, safety and management education programs under the auspices of the OVCEF, as well as ABC events in cooperation with OVABC board/staff and designated committees.
Responsibilities
Promotion of Trades
- Promote and market trades training / apprenticeship to OVABC members in a positive and professional manner with special emphasis on retaining students through to graduation.
- Assist in gathering data and form completions from stakeholders such as student registration data, On-the-job training hours.
- Assist in gathering data from instructors and communication of data to customers (attendance/grades/etc.).
- Keep student records up to date.
- Ensure all end of the year credentials are obtained and sent to ABC members.
- Oversee the end of the year evaluation process of all instructors.
- Work with the TOOLS Director to increase participation in school-to-apprentice programs (by both the number of schools and the number of students).
- Schedule and coordinate new apprenticeship registration and orientations, prepare materials as needed.
- As requested, attend board meetings, all staff meetings, instructor meetings and other meetings as directed.
- Supply coworkers with data to assist in forecasting, planning, and budgeting.
- Strive to improve program quality by visiting the campuses and obtaining feedback from ABC members and students.
Other
- Attend Chapter functions, events, meetings, and conferences as required and/or directed
- Assist in the oversight of the NCCR school sponsorship program
- Assist in managing the audit process - scheduling and recording the outcomes
- Assist in handling the MOU process
