Job summary

Columbia University in the City of New York is seeking an Education and Convergence Project Manager to lead LEAP’s education and workforce-development programs. You will coordinate cross-functional initiatives that connect researchers, faculty, students, educators, and external partners.

The role manages the full lifecycle of programs like Momentum Climate Data Science Bootcamp, REU, Momentum Fellowship, and Lectures in Climate Data Science, while supporting center-wide convergence initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience required.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in project management, program administration, education, research administration, nonprofit or academic program management.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects in a complex academic, research, or mission-driven environment.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills, including prioritizing, timelines, and deliverables.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, coordination, and implementation of LEAP's education and workforce-development programs.
• Coordinate Momentum Climate Data Science Bootcamp, REU, Momentum Fellowship, and related initiatives.
• Lead lectures and education events, including speaker management and program logistics.
• Develop and maintain program calendars, timelines, and tracking systems.
• Monitor milestones, collect feedback, and drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with leadership to identify opportunities and align activities with strategic priorities.
