Job summary

The Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury, CT seeks a Learning Coordinator to design, manage, and deliver high-impact educational and community programs. This role bridges formal learning initiatives with broad public engagement, tailoring duties to the candidate's strengths.

You will lead tours, develop after-school and outreach programs, manage partnerships, and collaborate with Marketing to promote events. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in program development with strong communication skills;

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in program development, community engagement, or event planning.
• Strong leadership, project management, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends; valid driver's license; local travel.

Responsibilities

• Direct Delivery & Teaching: lead tours, after-school programs, and off-site outreach.
• Program Execution & Logistics: plan, coordinate, and staff educational initiatives on-site and off-site.
• Evaluation & Administration: maintain scheduling records and collect attendance data for reports.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: work with Marketing on promotions and support events.
• Scheduling: work one Saturday per month and some evenings/weekends.
