Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. in Lecanto, FL is seeking an Instructor Assistant to support instructors, facilitate daily instructional activities, and provide physical assistance to program participants to meet individual needs.

You will supervise participants, escort them to destinations, help with self-care tasks, assist with meals and activities, record performance data, and participate in service planning meetings as required.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent certification preferred.
• Prior instructor assistant experience helpful, however not required.
• Ability to deal courteously, tactfully and efficiently with program participants, staff members and other caregivers.
• Emotional stability and maturity with a genuine interest in working with program participants.

Responsibilities

• Supervise participants through daily activities to ensure safety.
• Assist with daily instructional processes and escort participants as needed.
• Provide physical assistance with self-care needs as required.
• Supervise meals and encourage good table manners.
• Assist with group activities and recreational outings.
• Record daily participant performance data.
• Assist with transportation of work products and materials.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in service planning.
