Job Description:

Supervise an assigned group of children (between the ages of six weeks to ten years of age) each day to ensure their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs are met. Provide high-quality early childhood education, while fostering the growth and development of young children.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a H.S. diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Associate degree in early childhood education or a closely related field, Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, 60 semester hours of Early Childhood Education at the college level, or experience working with young children in a child care setting required.
  • Must have or obtain the following trainings within 3 months of employment: Infant & Child First Aid & CPR, Common Childhood Communicable Disease, Recognition and Prevention of Child Abuse.
  • Shall not have any convictions of child abuse or crimes involving moral turpitude.
  • Must have a fingerprint check by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or closely related field preferred.
