Overview
Join CoGrader, a rapidly growing AI EdTech startup backed by UC Berkeley, as part of our founding sales team. You'll work directly with the CEO to drive our 30% month-over-month growth, manage our sales pipeline, and help transform how teachers grade — saving them thousands of hours while improving student outcomes.
- Location: Remote (Preferred: FL, TX, CA, NYC)
- Type: Full-time | AI EdTech SaaS | Early-stage equity
- Experience: 2+ years selling K12 SaaS literacy products to Directors of Curriculum, with proven sales record (quotas)
- Impact: Help scale a solution used by tens of thousands of teachers, serving over half a million students
- Compensation: $60k base + uncapped commission + early-stage equity
What You'll Do
Own the Sales Process (80%)
- Drive our sales pipeline from lead to close, testing and iterating on different sales strategies
- Implement our sales playbook for bottom-up approaches, building strategies to turn teacher champions into school-wide adoptions, scheduling and leading demos with teachers and administrators
- Develop our sales playbook for top-down approaches, contacting schools where teachers use CoGrader’s free version and generating admin leads
- Create marketing & sales assets, manage CRM and sales tools, and hit quarterly revenue targets
Operate Customer Success (20%)
- Drive renewals, review pricing, and facilitate cross-selling
- Expand within existing accounts to add more schools
- Build referral programs to leverage satisfied customers
- Increase usage through training and onboarding, leading to teacher/user retention
- Collect customer feedback to inform product development

- Are fluent in English; US-based or US expat preferred

- Have 2–6+ years in K12 EdTech SaaS sales, with experience selling to curriculum leaders
- Have a proven track record of exceeding targets

- Have exceptional communication skills and are a GenAI power user
- Are scrappy, driven, and comfortable selling in ambiguity with high autonomy

Bonus Points For
- Extensive experience selling to US K12 Directors of Curriculum or similar roles
- Based in or experienced selling into Florida, Texas, California, or New York City
- Background as an English teacher or administrator (e.g., principal, curriculum director)
