Job summary

Cengage, a global education technology company, seeks a senior leader to run the online course portfolio and the learning design/production teams. You will shape a catalog of 1,000+ programs, guide growth, modernization, and partnerships, and set disciplined investment frameworks to maximize revenue and long‑term value.

You will partner with Finance and leadership to ensure sustained revenue growth, margin expansion, and scalable, AI-enabled content development across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading a large, complex portfolio or product organization with revenue accountability.
• Strong business and financial competence using market, customer, and financial data to guide decisions.
• Experience developing and executing portfolio strategies that drive growth and competitive advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Portfolio Management team for online course products and the content development team.
• Build insights into portfolio performance, market dynamics, and customer needs.
• Identify opportunities for new programs, category expansion, and portfolio optimization.
• Establish investment frameworks to guide build, buy, partner, expand, or exit decisions.
• Guide portfolio lifecycle management balancing growth with maintenance of existing catalog.
• Coordinate performance mechanisms and reviews to share results, risks, and tradeoffs.
