A leading EdTech company is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to help shape the future of learning by turning complex data into meaningful insights that drive innovation, improve student outcomes, and elevate the learning experience.

This is a high-impact role that bridges data science, machine learning, and product strategy, with a focus on delivering actionable, scalable solutions that serve educators and students nationwide.

What You’ll Do:

Design, build, and deploy machine learning models to support key objectives like learning efficacy, user engagement, and product optimization
Analyze structured and unstructured data sets to extract insights and guide product decisions
Collaborate with engineering, product, content, and assessment teams to define data-driven opportunities
Support AI and ML strategy in collaboration with product and executive leadership
Translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Work with data engineers to build and maintain robust data pipelines and integrations
Develop dashboards and visualizations that communicate key trends and learning outcomes
Contribute to an evolving AI roadmap that aligns with broader organizational goals
Stay up to date on modern tools and techniques in machine learning and generative AI
Balance experimentation with practical deployment to ensure real-world impact
Perform other duties as needed in support of strategic initiatives

What You Bring:

Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
5+ years of experience in a hands-on data science role (preferably with applied ML models in production)
Expertise in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow), R, and SQL
Familiarity with cloud-based big data tools such as Spark, Snowflake, Hive, or AWS Redshift
Strong background in statistical modeling, forecasting, and classification methods
Experience building and communicating visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and prioritize strategic goals
Eagerness to translate models and insights into real-world education products
A passion for driving measurable outcomes in K–12 education through technology
