Job summary

Wind Creek Wetumpka is seeking a Kitchen Worker to support our restaurant operations. You will clean plateware, glassware, cooking equipment and utensils and assist with food preparation as directed by the Culinary Team leadership.

You must meet hygiene standards, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and work nights, weekends and holidays. A high school diploma or GED is required, and Tribal Gaming licensing may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED completed or currently enrolled to complete GED within six months from start date.
• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Ability to bend, squat and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to perform all aspects of the position.
• Must possess maturity, dependability, and punctuality.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays; Tribal Gaming license may be required.

The Kitchen Worker is responsible for cleaning the plate ware, glassware, cooking equipment and utensils involved with the food production and operation of the restaurant program. The Kitchen Worker also assists with the preparation of food products a directed by the Culinary Team leadership.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Possesses the ability to adhere to strict hygiene standards at all times
• Cleans and maintains the dish room and kitchen areas

• Has and maintains a stable, positive background and is willing to assume responsibility for additional tasking
• Informs kitchen leadership of inventory/supply needs
• Ensures the physical condition of the premises is maintained in a safe, healthy manner by performing cleaning tasks as assigned
• Ensures that all applicable operating policies and procedures are adhered to at all times without deviation
• Ensures that all applicable operating policies and procedures are adhered to at all times without deviation and be extremely knowledgeable of Minimum Internal Control Standards and Fiscal Policies and Procedures
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements (Please Ensure You Meet The Listed Requirements Prior To Applying)

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment
• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
• Willingness and ability to bend, squat and lift up to 50 lbs on a regular and frequent basis
• Ability to adequately and successfully perform all aspects of this position
• Must possess a high level of maturity, dependability, and punctuality
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
• Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
• Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
