Position Description

As an EDM Sinker Machinist you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

• Set up and program CNC EDM Sinker machines
• Check machined parts using sine plates, micrometers, indicators etc
• Make offset adjustments
• Read blueprints
• Communicate with other teams
• Meet schedules and maintain quality standards
  
  

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

• A minimum of 3 years work experience with EDM Sinker machines
• Experience interpreting blueprint dimensions and using measuring tools
• Working knowledge of MI's, QSR, ISO, SOP's, work rules and safety guidelines
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English
• Ability to hold close tolerances up to .0002"
• A technical and hands-on approach
  
  

Preferred

The following skills and attributes are preferred but not required:

• Experience with Sodick machines
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks Software a plus
• Knowledge of Gcode
• Personal precision and hand tools
  
  

Benefits

The base compensation range for this role is $20 - $33 / hour for the position in California. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries in California based on the date of this job posting.
