Job summary

Lunar Tool & Mold, Inc. in North Royalton, OH is seeking an EDM Programmer/Operator to program, set up, and operate Wire EDM and Sinker EDM machines for precision tooling and molds. You’ll read blueprints, establish setups, and ensure tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• CNC machining or EDM experience is a plus.
• Experience with Wire EDM and/or Sinker EDM equipment.
• 3+ years of precision toolmaking, mold making, or closely related experience.
• Experience building, fitting, and assembling precision molds or tooling.
• Ability to work with tight tolerances and use precision measuring instruments.
• Experience with aerospace tooling, wax injection molds, or core dies strongly preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and machining specifications.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate Wire EDM and Sinker EDM machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and machining specifications.
• Establish machine setups, tooling, and EDM machining parameters.
• Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to maintain precision.
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot programming, setup, and machining issues.
• Maintain equipment and ensure quality standards are met.
• Work closely with machinists and toolmakers to complete precision manufacturing projects.

Job Description
