Job summary

Top manufacturer in Southern California is seeking a permanent EDM Operator to join a fast-growing, quality-focused team in the San Diego area. You will operate and set up Wire EDM machines, read engineering drawings with GD&T, and perform preventive maintenance on EDM equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of professional experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Minimum of three years of machining experience.
• Minimum of two years of Wire EDM setup and operation experience is preferred.
• Proficient in using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, and height gauges.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, process documentation and work instructions.
• Experience in performing maintenance tasks such as replacing wire, filters and dielectric fluid.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, process documentation, and work instructions.
• Experience in performing maintenance tasks such as replacing wire, filters, dielectric fluid, and other EDM consumables.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
