Job summary

Micro-Tronics, Inc. in Tempe, AZ is seeking an EDM Machinist II to set up and operate EDM equipment, including Wire EDM and Small Hole EDM, to produce precision aerospace components.

You will interpret blueprints, perform in-process inspections, and troubleshoot tooling or machine issues to ensure part conformity and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of EDM machining experience,熟 with GD&T, and a solid foundation in manual inspection tools.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ work experience in machining environments.
• 2+ years’ experience in EDM machining.
• Experience with conventional machining is desirable.
• Ability to use manual inspection tools required.
• Exposure to CAD/CAM desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate EDM equipment including Wire EDM and/or Small Hole EDM.
• Manufacture electrodes and fixtures to support machining processes.
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot nonconforming conditions and adjust tooling or machine controls as needed.
• Record production data, including setup and run times.
• Apply knowledge of machine capabilities to optimize processes.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and maintain equipment performance.
• Recommend tooling and fixture improvements.
• Deburr, clean, and package finished parts.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Planning teams
