Onsite – Buffalo, NY

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer instructions in English, and perform basic math skills.
• At least 3 years of experience as a diversified machinist.
• Participation in the company’s FAA Drug & Alcohol Program is required due to FAA regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work.

Responsibilities

• Perform set-ups for production and prototype parts.
• Specify electrode sizes and determine EDM operation sequences without operation sheets.
• Verify setups meet operation sheet and engineering drawing requirements.
• Use inspection equipment to work within very close tolerances.
• Train and oversee EDM Operators.
• Operate multiple EDM machines, transferring between machines for set-ups and adjustments.
• Operate Surface Grinder for electrode regrinding.
• Establish EDM machine parameters for optimal machining rates.
• Identify and report unusual conditions such as electrode wear or defective materials.

Salary Range

Buffalo, NY: $28.00–$32.00 annually
