Job summary

FINRA is seeking a Test Development Editor to strengthen the writing quality of content used in FINRA and client exams and continuing education programs. The editor ensures style, grammar, and terminology are consistent and maintains program style guidelines.

You will proofread and edit supporting materials, collaborate with Content Managers, and train authors on style and usage standards. The role requires a bachelor's in journalism/English and at least two years of related experience, with

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, or related field with at least two years of related experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly gain familiarity with subject matter to edit technical material.

Responsibilities

  • Edit exam questions and CE content for style, grammar, clarity, and terminology.
  • Edit content outlines, program-related communications, presentations, and similar supporting materials.
  • Edit test-development documentation and technical reports.
  • Work with internal staff and client representatives to meet project schedules.
  • Maintain style guides documenting writing, formatting, and terminology standards for FINRA and/or client examinations.
  • Work with Content Managers to train authors on style and usage standards.
  • Serve as a resource to FINRA staff on editorial matters.
  • Collaboration, both in-person and virtually, in furtherance of FINRA’s mission of investor protection and market integrity.
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned by management
