Sierra Club Editorial Fellow position in Sierra Magazine offers hands-on experience in magazine publishing, including writing and reporting for print and online, fact-checking, and developing your own story ideas. The role is based in Oakland, CA or remote and supports 28 hours per week for up to six months.

You’ll work with the Communications team to cover environmental and social justice topics, attend weekly meetings, and contribute to audience growth while developing your craft and

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong writing, research, and editing skills.
• Awareness of environmental and social justice issues.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with Sierra Club print/online content and tone.
• Self-starter who can lead on story ideas and research.
• Published clips or prior publication experience is a plus.
• Commitment to growth and understanding of systems of oppression.

Mansioni

• Write weekly articles and dispatches for the magazine’s online edition.
